A461 Corridor Detailed Design Services

City of Wolverhampton Council, on behalf of Black Country Transport, is seeking a qualified organisation to deliver detailed design development for the A461 Corridor improvement project. The A461 spans the boroughs of Dudley, Sandwell, and Walsall and is designated as part of the Major Road Network (MRN) and West Midlands Key Route Network (KRN), making it strategically critical for regional connectivity and freight movement. This project aims to enhance the corridor's operational efficiency by reducing traffic demand and expanding walking, cycling, and public transport infrastructure to encourage modal shift away from private vehicles. The successful supplier will support sustainable transport improvements that benefit both people and goods movement across the Black Country region. This contract will be procured through ESPO 664_25 Lot 5.
