Digital Solution for Mental Health Assessments

NHS Bedfordshire, Luton & Milton Keynes Integrated Care Board (ICB) is seeking qualified providers to develop a digital solution that automates the management of the Mental Health Act Section 12 (S12) Assessment process. This digital platform will include several key features: - Access will be restricted to accredited S12 Doctors, ensuring that pre-authorization checks are conducted and regularly updated by the provider. - S12 Doctors can input their availability into the system, allowing professionals to see which Doctors are available for assessments at any time. - Allied Mental Health Professionals (AMHPs) will be able to manage their S12 caseloads through the system. - Doctors must be able to record their assessment results in the system, which will trigger automatic payments in the next monthly payment cycle. - The software provider is required to offer training for Doctors, AMHPs, and administrative staff, along with ongoing online support. - The ICB will receive detailed reports on assessment activities, including numbers, times, and dates, to assist in resource allocation.
