Moored Conductivity, Temperature, and Depth Sensors for Antarctic Ocean Research

Northumbria University is procuring specialized Moored Conductivity, Temperature, and Depth (CTD) sensors to support the Drivers of Oceanic Change in the Amundsen Sea (DeCAdeS) project. These oceanographic instruments will be deployed beneath and around Antarctic ice shelves to continuously measure water column properties including salinity, temperature, and density in extreme polar environments. The sensors must deliver high-precision, long-duration monitoring capabilities with reliable data retrieval to enable researchers to study ocean-ice interactions and ice shelf evolution. Suppliers should demonstrate technical compliance with precise scientific specifications, proven reliability in harsh oceanic conditions, and compatibility with existing DeCAdeS project infrastructure.
