DWP Skills Bootcamps - Market Engagement

Shropshire Council is exploring the commissioning of DWP Skills Bootcamp delivery across priority sectors to support residents into employment and help employers address local skills shortages. This is preliminary market engagement only and does not form part of a formal procurement process. The Council is seeking to understand provider capacity, delivery models, and market appetite before finalizing the procurement approach. Skills Bootcamps are flexible training programmes designed to help adults develop sector-specific skills in demand by employers, enabling learners to gain new skills, progress into employment, or advance within their current role. These programmes are developed in partnership with employers to address local workforce needs and skills shortages. Information gathered from this engagement will inform the development of the specification, lot structure, and final procurement strategy.
