    Brief

The HMS Victory Conservation Project requires short-term shipwright support to help offset a 9-month delay in conservation work. We are seeking to direct award a fixed-term contract for 3 qualified shipwrights to work for 5.5 weeks on frame conservation works on the port side of the ship. The estimated contract value is £42,230 (£35,750 excluding VAT plus £6,480 contingency for one week's work). This procurement is being conducted under the Procurement Act 2023, Section 43 and Schedule 5, Regulation 7(a)(b). We are looking for experienced shipwrights with expertise in historic ship conservation and traditional frame repair techniques. The successful contractor should be able to mobilize quickly to meet the accelerated timeline.
