Public Bridleway Improvement and Resurfacing Contract - Austwick to Clapham

The Authority is seeking contractors to improve the Austwick to Clapham public bridleway adjacent to the A65. The project scope includes: resurfacing approximately 430 metres of bridleway with a bound, porous surface suitable for all users including pedestrians, cyclists, and light agricultural vehicles (2 metres wide with 0.5 metre verge buffers on each side); removing and reinstating soil and turf; constructing splayed and bound entrance/exit points connecting to the B480; installing appropriate road markings to indicate cyclists must give way to traffic; installing a reinforced concrete farm crossing to E10 Standard or equivalent bound surface for agricultural access; and managing all necessary traffic management orders, including design, supply, and deployment of barriers, signage, and traffic light systems. Contractors should have experience in bridleway construction, traffic management, and agricultural access solutions.
