Catering Services for Three Primary Schools - Discovery Multi Academy Trust

Discovery Multi Academy Trust is seeking an experienced catering contractor to provide all food services, hospitality, and meal provisions for three primary schools in Plymouth: Beechwood Primary Academy, Oakwood Primary Academy, and Weston Mill Community Primary Academy. The contract runs for three years from 1 August 2026 with the option to extend for up to two additional 12-month periods (maximum five years total). The contractor will operate on a guaranteed performance basis with potential profit share from any savings against the agreed budget. Individual school budgets will be monitored separately for performance tracking. The successful contractor must have proven experience managing catering operations across multiple primary schools and should have or be able to establish a strong operational presence in the South West to ensure reliable support and flexibility. TUPE applies to this contract, and the contractor must obtain Admitted Body Status to continue the Local Government Pension Scheme contributions for existing employees.
