Older Adults Day Services Provider - Basingstoke

Hampshire County Council is seeking an external provider to deliver and further develop the Older Adults' Day Service in Basingstoke from early 2027. This community-based service, known as the Day-Opportunity and Community Hub Service (DoCH), supports vulnerable older adults and unpaid carers, with specialisation in dementia support. The service operates from a building-based facility and provides meaningful activities including social care support, confidence building, independence promotion, mobility and falls prevention, social isolation prevention, and carer respite. The contract runs for eight years with an estimated total value of £5,475,892.74. Hampshire County Council will support mobilisation through: (1) coverage of direct redundancy costs for TUPE-transferred staff (up to £85,000); and (2) reimbursement for reasonable set-up and transfer costs including transport, rent, IT, and transformation expenses (up to £41,500). The service commencement date of 18 January 2027 is approximate, and the Council will work collaboratively with the successful provider to establish an appropriate transition timeline. This is an opportunity to deliver a person-centred service addressing significant community need for older adult support in Hampshire.
