Catering services contract for St Patrick & St Edmund's Catholic Primary School and St Joseph's Catholic Primary School. St Patrick & St Edmund's (Birmingham, ~306 pupils including nursery, 42% eligible for Free School Meals) operates across two sites approximately 900 metres apart, requiring food preparation at the KS1 site and transport to the KS2 site. St Joseph's (Darlaston, ~243 pupils including nursery, 40.7% eligible for Free School Meals) operates a serving kitchen only with meals currently delivered from another site. The successful contractor must deliver high-quality, flexible, and innovative catering services that meet evolving school community needs. Key priorities include expanding the food range and service provision, maximising the use of local West Midlands suppliers within a 25-mile radius for fresh produce (bakery products, meat, fruit, vegetables, and dairy), and maintaining regular engagement with pupils and parents. The contract operates on a guaranteed performance basis with fixed annual returns and/or subsidies. The contractor must demonstrate commitment to community values and local sourcing throughout the contract term.
