Direct Appointment of Fire Safety Consultant for Folca 2 Phase 2 Project

FHDC is seeking to directly appoint a Fire Safety Consultant to support the Lead Design Team delivering RIBA Stages 3-7 of the Folca 2 Phase 2 project. Due to current insurance market restrictions on Professional Indemnity Insurance for fire safety consultancy, fire consultants cannot be appointed through standard collateral warranties alongside other design team members. This constraint affects all potential lead designers and is not specific to any bidder. The successful Fire Consultant will work as an integral part of the design team, providing fire safety expertise from detailed design through to project completion. Osborn Associates has been proposed by the appointed Lead Designer (Medical Architecture) for this role and FHDC is progressing with their direct appointment to resolve the insurance and procurement requirements.
