Early Support Outreach Service for Vulnerable Schoolchildren

Suffolk County Council is seeking a service provider to deliver targeted early support within mainstream schools across Key Stages 1-4. The service will help children with complex needs who are at risk of school exclusion by providing timely outreach support and robust intervention to address barriers to learning. The provider will work collaboratively with schools, parents, carers, other agencies, and the young people themselves to tailor support to individual needs and keep vulnerable learners in mainstream education. This Tier 1 Alternative Provision service aims to raise educational attainment, improve skill levels, reduce permanent exclusions, and prevent reliance on social care and mental health services. The contract is for an initial two-year period with an optional 24-month extension, and providers must be able to support children with diverse and complex needs while ensuring they make progress appropriate to their age, ability, and prior achievement.
