    Brief

Central Bedfordshire Council is seeking experienced Service Providers to design, install, operate, and maintain public electric vehicle charging networks across the region. The council has secured £1,413,000 in Local Electric Vehicle Infrastructure (LEVI) funding to expand low-powered charging options in residential areas and accelerate market commercialisation. Two separate 15-year concession contracts are available (bidders can apply for either but not both): LEVI Tender 1: Supply 7-22kW residential charge points at 500+ on-street locations and 200+ hub locations (car parks). Supported by £1,298,000 in council funding. LEVI Tender 2: Supply up to 5kW on-street lamppost charge points at 800+ locations. Supported by £100,000 in council funding. Both projects are supplier-funded with council grant support. The council seeks turnkey solutions from providers committed to maximizing LEVI funding impact and investing locally. Infrastructure will be distributed across Central Bedfordshire settlements to meet current and future residential charging needs, aligned with the council's Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Strategy.
