    Norwich City Council is undertaking a comprehensive construction and redevelopment project at Sloughbottom Park, funded by the UK government's Levelling Up Fund. The project aims to improve health, wellbeing, and accessibility across the park through new community and sporting facilities. Key project deliverables include: - New Sports Hub with changing facilities (including accessible and changing places toilets), multi-use studio, refreshment outlet, office and storage spaces, built to Sport England and Football Foundation standards - Refurbished Pavilion with new café, public WCs, and community use room - Upgraded landscaping at the Pavilion to facilitate community use and access to the destination play park - BMX track improvements including new footpaths, lighting, modular storage building with facilities, potable water, and electric start gate - Park-wide infrastructure enhancements: car park resurfacing with new entrance, lighting and marked bays; resurfaced paths throughout; enhanced central path lighting for safety - New wayfinding signage, particularly for access to Sweetbriar Marshes - Specialist contractor works including new artificial grass pitch and inclusive destination play park The project supports more active and healthier lifestyles for all park users across all age groups. Opportunities exist for main contractors and specialist subcontractors in construction, landscaping, sports facility installation, and infrastructure works.
