Clerk of Works and Quantity Surveyor for Warm Homes Retrofit Project

East Suffolk Council is seeking a Clerk of Works and Quantity Surveyor to support the Warm Homes Project Wave 3, which will install over 624 energy efficiency retrofit measures across the council's social housing portfolio. This project is aimed at improving properties with EPC ratings of D and below, with work forecast to continue until Summer 2028. Clerk of Works Requirements: 2.5 days per week, comprising 2 days for on-site inspections and 0.5 days for report preparation. The role involves monitoring retrofit installations across social housing properties throughout the East Suffolk district, with particular focus on Lowestoft, Beccles, Bungay, and Southwold. Quantity Surveyor Requirements: Monthly support throughout the project duration for cost management, budget oversight, and contract administration. Key Responsibilities: Both roles will involve managing appointment scheduling for visits to occupied tenanted properties, ensuring minimal disruption to residents while maintaining project timelines and quality standards. Project Scope: Works are distributed across the entire East Suffolk district with concentration in four main town areas.
