Fuel Poverty Support Program for Welsh Households

This initiative addresses fuel poverty across Wales by providing immediate crisis assistance and sustained support to vulnerable households. The program tackles root causes including low incomes, high energy costs, and poor home energy efficiency. Key activities include direct household support, energy efficiency improvements, debt management, and public awareness campaigns on energy efficiency, utility company services, and carbon monoxide safety. Over two years, the project will assist 14,500 vulnerable households in achieving safe, warm, and efficient homes while building community resilience through education and outreach. The program strengthens collaboration between local authorities, health boards, and regional partners to ensure vulnerable populations receive comprehensive support for managing energy costs and improving living conditions.
