Digital Mental Health Support Service for Children and Young People in Somerset

NHS Somerset Integrated Care Board is seeking a Prime Provider to deliver a Digital Mental Health and Emotional Wellbeing Service for children and young people across Somerset. The service will provide digitally enabled emotional wellbeing and mental health support, information, advice and guidance in a safe, accessible and inclusive environment. Key objectives include improving access to timely support, enabling early intervention and prevention, reducing inequalities, and helping young people access appropriate help when needed. The service will operate as part of Somerset's wider mental health system, complementing existing statutory, education, community and voluntary sector provision without duplication. Contract duration is 5 years (April 1, 2027 to March 31, 2032) with an optional 2-year extension. The financial envelope is £750,000 excluding VAT for the initial 5-year term, with an additional £150,000 per annum available for any extension period, totalling up to £1,050,000 over 7 years if fully extended. TUPE is not expected to apply. This procurement is managed by NHS South, Central & West on behalf of a clustering arrangement of NHS Somerset ICB, NHS Bath and North East Somerset, Swindon and Wiltshire ICB, and NHS Dorset ICB, which will merge into a single organisation on April 1, 2027.
