Grounds Maintenance and Gardening Services Contract

First Garden Cities Homes Limited, a social housing provider managing approximately 2,400 homes across North Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire, is seeking expressions of interest for a new Grounds Maintenance and Gardening Services contract. The current contract expires on 31 December 2026 with no extension options available. The procurement is divided into two geographically-organized lots of similar volume to accommodate providers of different sizes. A GIS mapping project will identify approximately 65 service locations and provide detailed scope information in the tender pack. Key requirements include: consistent high-quality grounds presentation with at least some operatives holding relevant horticultural qualifications or equivalent experience on every site visit; environmental responsibility and sustainable practices; demonstrated social value contributions; and innovation in methods, technology, and efficiency improvements. Interested suppliers are invited to participate in a market engagement exercise. First Garden Cities Homes is currently consulting with residents to finalize service quality expectations, and will contact interested parties to arrange meetings before tender publication.
