Lancaster Aircraft Coolant Radiator Manufacturing and Support

The RAF seeks a supplier to design and manufacture replacement coolant radiators for the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight's historic Lancaster aircraft (PA474). The supplier must have design capability and experience with aircraft manufacturing standards. Key Requirements: - Design and produce six replacement radiators (including two spares) using a "design from pattern" approach, as original drawings are unavailable - Ensure all units meet Military Aviation Authority (MAA) airworthiness standards and match the original radiators in fit, form, and function - Provide complete design documentation including production drawings, design rationale, and a Declaration of Design & Performance - Conduct comprehensive testing (pressure, fatigue, non-destructive testing) and obtain certification - Supply units in special transport containers with Certificates of Conformity - Hold ISO 9001/AS9100 or equivalent quality management certification - Deliver in-service support materials including Bill of Materials, maintenance documentation, and provisioning lists - Support aircraft airworthiness through an Out of Service Date of 2035 (potentially extending to 2040) All goods must be delivered to RAF Coningsby and integrate with existing aircraft systems and coolant specifications. Suppliers should have demonstrated experience in aircraft component manufacturing and MAA compliance.
