Historic Clock Tower Restoration Project - Coleford

Coleford Town Council is seeking an experienced main contractor specialising in historic building conservation to restore and repair the Grade II listed Coleford Clock Tower in Market Place, Coleford, Gloucestershire. The project includes structural repairs to internal floors, conservation repairs using traditional materials, external and internal restoration, reinstatement of historic openings and windows, electrical installations and lighting upgrades, and specialist roof safety features. The contractor will be responsible for design elements (Contractor's Design Portion) and will act as Principal Contractor under CDM 2015 regulations, managing all construction phase planning, coordination and health and safety obligations. The contract will be awarded using the JCT Intermediate Building Contract with Contractor's Design 2024 (ICD 2024). Applicants must demonstrate proven experience delivering conservation and restoration projects on listed or historic buildings of comparable scope and complexity. Contract value is approximately £670,000.
