24/7 Manned Security Services for Vacant Hospital Site

Velindre University NHS Trust is seeking an experienced security contractor to provide continuous 24/7 manned security services at the former Whitchurch Hospital site. This large, vacant and partially derelict estate requires professional protection to safeguard assets, prevent unauthorised access, and manage health and safety risks across multiple buildings and perimeter areas. Key responsibilities include: deploying a minimum of two SIA-licensed security operatives on site at all times; conducting routine patrols of buildings, fencing and external areas; monitoring and responding to CCTV activations and alarm notifications; detecting and escalating incidents such as trespass, vandalism, fire hazards and structural risks; maintaining detailed patrol logs and incident reports; and providing all necessary staffing, welfare facilities, equipment and PPE. Successful contractors must demonstrate proven experience working in high-risk, hazardous environments with structural deterioration and potential asbestos-containing materials. Full compliance with all relevant health and safety legislation, SIA requirements and industry standards is essential. This is a fully managed service contract requiring professional, reliable security provision for an extended period.
