The service requires an 8-seat wheelchair accessible vehicle (WAV) with a trained Passenger Assistant. The Passenger Assistant must hold current qualifications in epilepsy awareness and PEG (percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy) care. The vehicle will operate Monday to Friday during school hours (08:50 to 15:10), serving routes between postcodes BN25 3HF/BN25 3HJ and Hazel Court FE (BN21 2XF). The vehicle must be equipped with a fixed manual Ottobock wheelchair securing system on a Discovery base (model 202328100202, approximately 28kg), and the wheelchair must be properly locked in place during transport. Operators should ensure their Passenger Assistant has appropriate medical training to support the passenger's specific health needs.
