Lung Cancer Screening Service - Health Checks Delivery

Essex ICB is seeking to continue delivery of lung cancer screening health checks across North East Essex and Suffolk. This service involves conducting lung health checks for eligible patients and referring appropriate cases to ESNEFT for low-dose CT scans. The successful provider will work within primary care settings, maintain strong relationships with GP practices, and support patient identification and enrollment. Key requirements include: delivering approximately 25,709 health checks annually at £41.80 per check; providing a clinical director (1 PA per week) at £22,260 annually; demonstrating quality service delivery with no performance concerns; integrating effectively with primary care and acute services; and maintaining community-based estates. The total contract value is £1,096,896, funded by the cancer alliance. The current provider has successfully delivered this service since programme inception with strong performance tracking and established relationships across primary care and ESNEFT.
