    Brief

    This Framework Agreement procurement covers peripheral intravenous cannulas and associated products used for short-term vein access to deliver fluids, medications, and obtain blood samples. Included products are safety and non-safety cannulas, winged devices, ported and straight cannulas, subcutaneous infusion sets, metal needle winged devices with extensions, safety integrated cannulas (closed loop systems), safety cannulation packs, and accessories to enhance cannulation efficiency and accuracy including training aids. This is not for central vein access devices. The estimated first-year expenditure is approximately £35,000,000 (ex VAT), with a 2-year Framework Agreement value estimated at £70,000,000 (ex VAT). An optional 2-year extension could bring the total 4-year value to approximately £140,000,000 (ex VAT). Preliminary market engagement was completed with a PME Notice published on 30 July 2025.
