Brief

The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) is seeking suppliers for Short Term Payment Contingency (STPC) services to ensure benefit and pension payments reach customers on schedule. This service is invoked only during exceptional circumstances when DWP experiences delays in releasing Bacs payment files. The STPC service (Lot 1) will reformat Bacs payment files into Faster Payment files for submission to the Faster Payment infrastructure. This procurement is part of a two-lot requirement; a separate Sponsor Bank service (Lot 2) handles fund settlement with the Bank of England. The procurement will follow the Procurement Act 2023 using a one-stage Competitive Flexible Procedure. Interested suppliers must register on the Central Digital Platform (CDP) and the DWP Atamis portal. Further details, including the UK4 Tender Notice with submission instructions and timelines, will be published on the Find a Tender Service website. This notice is indicative only; DWP reserves the right to amend, add or remove procurement stages, or withdraw the opportunity. Prior participation in Preliminary Market Engagement is not required.
