Blood Transfusion Analyser Managed Service for Oxford University Hospitals

Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (OUH) is seeking a managed service provider to supply, maintain, and support automated blood transfusion analysers across two hospital sites: John Radcliffe Hospital (Oxford) and Horton General Hospital (Banbury). The service will operate 24/7/365 to support routine and urgent (STAT) testing. The successful supplier will be responsible for: supplying and installing analysers; providing all reagents, consumables, controls and calibrators; delivering repair and maintenance services; integrating with existing Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS); and providing staff training and technical support. The service must include redundancy arrangements to ensure high availability and business continuity. The estimated contract value is approximately £1,650,000 (excluding VAT) over 5 years, awarded as a single Managed Service Contract under the Procurement Act 2023.
