Integrated Pathology Laboratory Hub and Equipment Managed Service

North West London Pathology (NWLP) – a partnership between Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust, Chelsea and Westminster NHS Foundation Trust, and The Hillingdon Hospital NHS Foundation Trust – is seeking a managed service partner to deliver an integrated solution combining premises, laboratory equipment, and facilities management through an Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) model. Background: NWLP's current laboratory hub facility is inadequately configured and cannot accommodate projected volume growth. The organization lacks significant capital budget and seeks an off-balance-sheet solution that enables service expansion and innovation. Key Commercial Framework: - Volume-Based Pricing: Price-per-request model covering equipment, building, and maintenance costs - Risk and Reward Sharing: Partner participation in business expansion while sharing recommissioning responsibilities - Contract Duration: Initial 14-year operational term with two optional 7-year extensions Scope of Services: - Premises provision, fit-out, and management of a hub facility supporting local life sciences participation - Laboratory equipment supply, including software, maintenance, and lifecycle replacement - Facilities management (hard FM, building lifecycle, utilities) - Ancillary services potentially including consumables, soft FM, and LIMS/software interfaces Eligibility: NWLP welcomes responses from equipment suppliers, landlords, property investors, and service integrators.
