Equal Pay Audit Service

Wakefield Council is seeking qualified suppliers to conduct a comprehensive Equal Pay Audit (EPA) aligned with the Equality Act 2010 and the Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) five-step framework. The audit will evaluate pay equity for equal work, identify and explain any unjustified pay disparities, and assess whether pay systems are fair and unbiased. The supplier should analyse intersectional pay outcomes where data permits and deliver clear, evidence-based findings to support governance decisions, staff engagement, and external accountability. This diagnostic and assurance-focused review will inform proportionate next steps without redesigning existing pay arrangements. Suppliers should demonstrate expertise in equal pay legislation, statistical analysis of pay data, and experience working with public sector organisations.
