The main building requires the gradual replacement of air conditioning units (ULKs) due to their poor quality. The heavy casing is particularly problematic, leading to the breakage of the plastic condensate trays. Initial attempts to weld the trays were only moderately successful. Since the condensate tray also serves as the main housing for the air conditioning unit, no other repairs are possible, necessitating a complete replacement. Additionally, maintenance is severely limited, making it impossible to ensure thorough cleaning according to VDI 6022 standards. Consequently, a comprehensive inspection has been difficult. To address this issue gradually, the air conditioning units will be replaced step by step, depending on the needs and scheduling of laboratories, exams, and other events. Due to the significant variation in the disassembly and assembly of the ULKs, such as different installation heights and configurations (in ceiling casings, suspended, etc.), precise cost estimation in advance is not feasible. Therefore, the billing for the work will be based on hourly records.
