Services for the Protection of Endangered Plant and Animal Species – Ecological Research for Species Management Plan

The municipality of Haaksbergen is seeking to contract a supplier to develop a Species Management Plan (SMP). The estimated value of this contract is up to €280,000 excluding VAT, which is also the maximum budget for this project. The goal of the SMP is to support the energy and heat transition in the built environment while ensuring the preservation of protected species that inhabit buildings, such as the house sparrow, swift, house martin, and certain bat species in the village centers. The SMP will comply with the former Nature Conservation Act (now the Environmental Act) and aims to enhance and improve biodiversity in the municipality. Additionally, it will assist residents in insulating their homes. The SMP will require year-round research, and based on this research, the SMP will be developed, including recommendations for compensation measures and a monitoring plan. The execution of both the compensation measures and the monitoring is not included in this contract.
