Graphic Design Services Contract for UBA Publications (2026-2029)

The Federal Environment Agency (UBA) frequently develops new topics and content throughout the year that need to be quickly transformed into public brochures or graphics. This work will be carried out under a layout framework contract. The contractor will create brochures, graphics, and layouts for the UBA based on the corporate design and existing InDesign templates. The primary focus will be on typesetting German and/or English position papers and technical brochures, with a smaller amount of work involving German and/or English guides, manuals, A6 brochures, and flyers, as well as cross-media graphics. For reference, all UBA publications, including technical brochures, position papers, guides, and flyers, can be viewed on their website: https://www.umweltbundesamt.de/publikationen. Based on past experience, the expected volume of work is approximately: - 40 brochures, 5 flyers, and cross-media graphic services totaling about 20 person-days per year. - About 25 background or position papers (same basic layout), A4 format, averaging 24 pages - About 10 technical brochures, A4 format, averaging 40 pages - About 5 guides or manuals (17x23 cm and 21x21 cm), averaging 24 pages - About 5 flyers (DIN long = 6-8 pages, folded or zigzag fold). For all mentioned formats, the UBA will provide templates in InDesign CC and/or as IDML files, into which the final text should be placed according to the existing character and paragraph styles and the UBA's corporate design.
