Construction of Zeller Land Leisure Pool - Metalwork and Glazing

The Zeller Land Leisure Pool, originally built as a sports pool about 45 years ago next to an existing outdoor pool, underwent an expansion in 1993, closing the outdoor area except for the children's splash pool. Some parts of the facility are still in their original condition from 1974, while even the newer components from the 1990s show significant defects and wear in the construction and technical systems. In 2019, the Zell municipality, which operates the pool, commissioned a renovation study. The study concluded that the entire roof structure, existing post-and-beam facade, and all technical systems are deteriorating, making renovation economically unfeasible. Consequently, the decision was made to demolish the indoor pool and adjacent service buildings (such as the restaurant and residential house) and replace them with a new construction. Only the underground level with the swimming pool (built in 1974) and part of the service buildings will remain. The Zeller Land Leisure Pool is located on the outskirts of Zell-Kaimt, surrounded by sports facilities and vineyards, near the Mosel River.
