Street Lighting LED Replacement Project

The Borough Council of King's Lynn and West Norfolk is seeking tenders for a project to replace existing sodium street lights with energy-efficient LED street lights. This initiative aims to improve energy efficiency, lower maintenance costs, and enhance the quality of street illumination. The project includes the following key tasks: - Removal of old non-LED street lights. - Installation of new LED street lights. - Testing and commissioning of the new LED lighting system, as detailed in Appendix 1 - LED upgrades final list. All street light head units will be replaced with the Axia 3 Evo 1 range, using LED clusters suitable for their respective lighting zones and column heights. For Heritage street lights listed under 'Lamp Replacements only', only the lamps will be replaced with their LED equivalents. - Providing accurate charge and switch codes for the replacement lanterns and control equipment to facilitate information sharing with UKPN and to maximize savings from the LED upgrade. - Recording lux levels and assessments to determine if lighting can be removed, especially in zones E1/E2. - Contractors are encouraged to suggest additional energy-saving measures.
