Construction Work for Upgrading Hjultorp Wastewater Treatment Plant

Vårgårda Municipality is seeking suppliers for the renovation and expansion of the Hjultorp Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP). The project involves increasing the plant's capacity from 9,000 to 13,000 population equivalents (PE) and adding nitrogen removal through a Sequencing Batch Reactor (SBR) process. This renovation and expansion are necessary due to increasing loads and future nitrogen removal requirements, as the current facility is outdated. The project will include the construction of new mechanical treatment and pre-sedimentation facilities, as well as a new biological treatment system. Additionally, there will be a significant increase in sludge treatment and storage capacity.
