Health Services: Supply and Analysis of Radiation Dosimeters

The European Commission is seeking suppliers to provide and analyze passive radiation dosimeters for approximately 150 staff members who are monitored for exposure to ionizing radiation as part of their occupational duties. The contract involves the monthly use of up to 200 dosimeters, including ambient, personal, and finger dosimeters, leading to an annual requirement of up to 2400 dosimeters. In compliance with European and national radiation protection regulations, the employer is responsible for ensuring the safety and monitoring of workers exposed to radiation. This includes implementing appropriate precautions and monitoring for external exposure to ionizing radiation and potential intake of radioactive substances. The contract will support a systematic approach to monitoring, recording, and reporting individual radiation exposures, including measurements of gamma rays, beta particles, and neutrons for classified staff members.
