Technical Planning Services for Highway Facilities on A6 East

This contract opportunity involves the development of a comprehensive rest area concept for the section of the A6 highway between the Weinsberg interchange and the state border of Baden-Württemberg and Bavaria. The concept includes the assessment, further development, and strategic planning of all existing and potential rest areas (parking with restrooms) along this section, taking into account traffic developments according to the Federal Ministry of Transport's traffic forecast for 2040. Key tasks include: - Analyzing the current status of all existing rest areas and facilities regarding capacity, equipment, usage intensity, and traffic connections. - Forecasting demand until 2040 based on the BMV traffic forecast, differentiated by passenger cars, trucks, and other traffic (OPTIONAL: 2050 forecast). - Executing performance phases 1 and 2 of the object planning for traffic facilities according to HOAI for each rest area in the study area. - Planning telematics parking systems for intelligent parking management, especially for truck parking spaces. - Developing a strategic concept to ensure adequate supply of rest opportunities, considering: o Spatial planning and environmental concerns, o Technical framework conditions, o Safety aspects, and o User comfort and accessibility. - Coordination with ongoing and planned infrastructure measures, particularly with the second planning phase of the A6 expansion.
