    Brief

The City of Darmstadt plans to construct a new inclusive primary school in the emerging Ludwigshöhviertel district. This school will accommodate 12 classrooms for approximately 300 primary school children. The design will emphasize all-day education and inclusion, reflected in both the educational and architectural aspects. Common areas will include a foyer, multipurpose room, cafeteria with a serving kitchen, and a media library. These spaces will be designed to also function as an auditorium. The multipurpose room will serve as a play and activity area, as the school will not have a gymnasium on the premises. Learning areas will consist of learning houses or clusters, aiming for a flexible room organization to support various educational concepts. A serving kitchen for about 300 meal participants will be planned for operation in three shifts, along with a full-day and project kitchen for students and after-school care. Both kitchens will be used simultaneously. The kitchen area will be located on the ground floor of the courtyard building, alongside the cafeteria, multipurpose room, and media library.
