Medical Pulp and Associated Products Framework Agreement 2027

NHS Supply Chain is inviting suppliers to express interest in a 48-month non-exclusive framework agreement for the supply of medical pulp and associated products. The framework covers a range of products used in patient toileting, sample collection, and medical procedures, including disposable medical pulp, support products, macerators, bedpan washers, and absorbent products. Anticipated expenditure is approximately £100 million (ex VAT) or £120 million (inc VAT) over the contract period, though actual quantities and values may vary based on purchasing requirements. The formal tender will be launched in September 2026. Suppliers must hold current Employer's Liability, Public Liability, and Product Liability Insurance (£5 million per claim each), maintain ISO 9001:2015 or ISO 13485:2016 accreditation from UK-recognized bodies, and possess Declaration of Conformity and UKCA/CE certification for medical devices. Bidders must complete the Modern Slavery Assessment Tool and submit evidence reviews, demonstrate a Social Value proposition, and submit a carbon reduction plan with minimum Evergreen Assessment Level 1.
