Assisted Conception Services at Croydon Hospital

St George's University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a supplier for HFEA licensed laboratory services to support the Croydon Assisted Conception Unit (ACU). The ACU provides assisted reproduction treatments to both NHS-funded patients from South West London and Surrey, as well as private patients. The selected supplier will help maintain the ACU's status as a satellite clinic, which offers initial consultations, scans, and blood tests to improve accessibility to fertility care. The main clinic handles more complex procedures like egg collection and embryo transfer. The Croydon ACU conducts around 170 fresh and 160 frozen treatment cycles each year. Clinical staff at the ACU consult with patients, recommend treatments, prescribe medications, and monitor progress throughout the treatment cycles. The chosen laboratory provider must ensure high-quality and safe services, maintaining clinical pregnancy and live birth rates above the national average. They will also need to support related activities such as freezing and storing samples and using donor gametes, while allowing the ACU to operate under its own treatment protocols in compliance with HFEA regulations.
