Membership in OpenPeppol for Electronic Document Exchange Services

The Financial Directorate of the Slovak Republic is seeking membership in OpenPeppol AISBL, an organization that facilitates standardized electronic document exchange (e-invoices) between businesses (B2B) and government institutions (B2G). This membership will provide various services, including: management and development of Peppol standards, development and maintenance of technical specifications and process rules (e.g., Peppol BIS, Codelists, CIUS), ensuring interoperability among network members, updating documentation in accordance with European and international standards (e.g., eIDAS, CEN, EN 16931), governance and oversight of the network, defining rights and obligations for network participants (Access Points, SMP providers, Peppol Authority), issuing binding rules and policies (e.g., Peppol Policy for Transport Infrastructure, Trust Agreements, Compliance Guidelines), monitoring compliance through controls and mechanisms, managing trust infrastructure, operating and managing PKI infrastructure (issuing and managing digital certificates for network participants), ensuring secure document exchange among entities via the Peppol network, regular renewal and revision of security standards, providing methodological, technical, and legal support to local authorities in implementing and managing Peppol infrastructure, access to central testing tools, consulting services, and support for certifying entities, participation in working groups and communities focused on network development and new services, representing members in international organizations and in relation to EU institutions, organizing meetings, general assemblies, technical forums, and exchange platforms for members, coordinating the development of the Peppol network in new countries and regions, and managing administrative and licensing activities, including member registrations, licensing rights, and contracts (including Peppol Authority Agreement), managing membership fees, collecting annual licensing fees, reporting, and auditing.
