Construction Work for Airport Connection in Planá, Czech Republic

This project involves the construction of a new intersection to connect the airport in České Budějovice to the I/3 road in the municipality of Planá. The main focus is on building a new third-class road that will facilitate access to the airport. The project includes the establishment of a new signal-controlled intersection on the I/3 road. The existing I/3 will be widened with additional lanes at the new intersection site. Additionally, new local and purpose-built roads will be constructed to service the area around the project. The project will also involve relocating existing pedestrian pathways along the I/3 road and adding new paths for cyclists and pedestrians. Demolition of existing airport buildings near the new airport road will be required. The project anticipates the construction of a new stormwater drainage system, public lighting, and traffic signals. Furthermore, there will be relocations of affected technical infrastructure networks, including the existing water supply, gas pipeline, sewage system, and both high and low voltage electrical lines.
