Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning Installation and Optimization for Wastewater Treatment Plant

The Bad Kissingen wastewater treatment plant currently relies on a combined heat and power (CHP) system and a heating boiler, both of which can operate on biogas and natural gas. In the future, the CHP will only be used at night when there is no solar power available, and the use of natural gas will be discontinued. To ensure a reliable heat supply, a heat pump will be installed in combination with a wastewater heat exchanger. The contractor will construct a shaft for the wastewater heat exchanger and prepare the underground piping. The contractor will then install the heat pump and wastewater heat exchanger and connect them to the piping system. Additionally, the contractor will create pumps, fittings, and pressure balancing for the heating circuit between the heat pump and the wastewater heat exchanger. A 4,000-liter buffer storage tank, a fresh water station with a storage tank, and a pressure maintenance and treatment station for the heating water will also be constructed by the contractor. Demolition and piping work in the heating cellar will be carried out by the contractor. The extension of an existing sludge heat exchanger and the insulation of the newly constructed heating pipes will also be required. The commissioning of the entire heating system will be managed by the contractor.
