Blood Supply Equipment for the Valencian Community

This contract involves supplying the necessary equipment for the extraction of whole blood units and the subsequent processing and handling of blood components, including the cryopreservation of cells and tissues for the Blood Transfusion Center of the Valencian Community. The contract also includes the temporary provision of equipment, systems, and technology by the awarded supplier, as specified in the Technical Specifications, which will be necessary for performing the required techniques, including comprehensive maintenance and online connection to the management systems of the CTCV. The goal of this procurement is to acquire materials needed for obtaining whole blood units and processing blood components such as plasma, leukoreduced red blood cell concentrate, leukocyte-rich plasma as a precursor for platelets, and platelet-rich plasma. Additionally, the CTCV operates as a Tissue and Cell Bank, necessitating the acquisition of materials for cryopreservation of hematopoietic progenitors and other cells derived from processed units extracted in hospitals, supporting transplant activities for onco-hematological patients in our community, as well as tissues used for therapeutic support in trauma, severe burns, ophthalmology, and cardiac and vascular surgery.
