Facade Construction for Specialized Children's Facility

Sprinkenhof GmbH is commissioning the construction of a specialized facility for children with specific educational and psychiatric care needs. The project involves the creation of a 2.5-story building complex with a curved shape, covering approximately 2,825 square meters. The structure will be built using a mix of materials, including reinforced concrete, masonry, and a wooden facade. It will house three living groups, classrooms, offices, social spaces, and therapy rooms. The partially basement level will include a movement area and technical facilities. The 4,746 square meter site will be designed to maintain its natural charm, featuring a central courtyard for gatherings and designated play and leisure areas in the southern part of the property. An experiential area will be created on one of the roofs. The facility, named Casa Luna, aims to be a green and relaxing environment for children, promoting their development and healing. Sustainable features will include photovoltaic systems, extensive and intensive green roofs, a heat pump, rainwater utilization, and a rainwater retention system of approximately 108 cubic meters. The scope of work for the wooden facade includes: constructing the building envelope using timber frame construction, including necessary fire barriers, insulation, and a closed wooden slat facade, as well as all exterior windows and doors, and external sun protection systems. Key tasks include: Title 1: Wood construction and facade work, approximately 1,200 square meters of facade area, and 70 linear meters of fire barriers; Title 2: Wood-aluminum windows, approximately 91 exterior windows (including corner elements and doors), with around 200 square meters of sun-protective glazing, and corresponding sills for all window elements; 5 main entrance doors; 2 facades in post-and-beam construction totaling around 50 square meters; Title 3: External sun protection with approximately 60 single and multi-part vertical awnings.
