    Brief

This public procurement aims to provide effective insurance coverage for the property owned by the National Electric Company (NEK EAD) against relevant insurance events for a period of 36 months. The selected insurance provider will cover all risks specified in the technical specifications. According to Article 352 of the Insurance Code, the contract duration will be divided into three consecutive insurance periods of 12 months each. The insurable assets include: Buildings: Production buildings (insured for 62,291,787 BGN) and Non-production buildings (insured for 61,557,816 BGN); Machinery, equipment, and installations: Production facilities and transmission devices (insured for 2,016,708,998 BGN), Non-production facilities and transmission devices (insured for 4,797,121 BGN), Production machinery and equipment (insured for 370,924,875 BGN), and Non-production machinery and equipment (insured for 23,267,768 BGN); Computer systems (insured for 11,641,161 BGN); Office inventory (furniture, office equipment, etc.) (insured for 5,303,066 BGN); Vehicles (excluding DKN) (insured for 56,869 BGN); Acquisition costs of fixed assets (insured for 85,497,284 BGN) and Inventory (insured for 8,593,021 BGN). The total insured amount for the assets is 2,650,639,766 BGN. The basis for determining the insured amounts is the replacement value of the insured assets as of September 30, 2024, according to the accounting value of the assets in the inventory books of the contracting authority. The contracting authority reserves the right to update the insured amounts based on replacement values at the time of contract signing. The addresses of the insured property are according to the activities of the contracting authority in Bulgaria and the inventory books of NEK EAD. Additional information can be found on the official website of the contracting authority: www.nek.bg. The insurance will be concluded without any deductible from the contracting authority. The maximum estimated value of the contract for the duration of 36 months includes an option for insuring newly acquired assets and is exclusive of the 2% tax according to the Insurance Premium Tax Act. Option: The contracting authority reserves the right to insure newly acquired assets up to 3,159,708 BGN, excluding the 2% tax, for newly acquired assets. Conditions for applying the option: The option for insuring newly acquired assets means the contracting authority's unilateral right (but not obligation) to insure newly acquired assets during the contract period, starting from the date of written notification from the contracting authority and based on the proposed tariff from the price offer of the selected contractor. The option is realized after written notification from the contracting authority and a mutually signed additional agreement between the parties. The actions of the commission are carried out in the sequence provided in Article 61 of the Public Procurement Act in connection with Article 104, paragraph 2 of the Public Procurement Act. Funding source: own funds of the contracting authority.
