Haarlemmermeer Traffic and Mobility Services

The municipality of Haarlemmermeer plans to build approximately 20,000 new homes by 2040, along with an increase in work locations and facilities. To support this growth, it is essential to optimize traffic structures to manage the expected increase in traffic effectively. On October 19, 2023, the Haarlemmermeer municipal council approved the Traffic Structure Plan (VSP) for Hoofddorp. This plan outlines how the municipality aims to maintain livable, safe, and accessible mobility in Hoofddorp until 2040. Two key measures from the VSP will be tendered in an upcoming public procurement process: 1. A planning study for the further development of the High-Quality Public Transport (HOV) network in Haarlemmermeer Southwest, and 2. The southern access route for car traffic in Hoofddorp.
