Expansion of Daycare Facility in Sindelfingen

The city of Sindelfingen is seeking an engineering firm to assist with the expansion of the KiTa Eschenried daycare center. The existing facility, located at Traifelbergweg 1, was built in 1964 and has undergone partial renovations in recent years, including the addition of a multipurpose room in 2007. Currently, the daycare accommodates two groups of 25 children aged 3-6 years. The site has ample outdoor space and is well-suited for expansion, which is also legally permissible. The planned expansion includes: - Two new daycare groups with dedicated rooms for activities, sleeping, and materials - A restroom and changing area - An art studio - A staff room with a restroom - A kitchen with necessary auxiliary rooms - Storage areas The existing building will not be part of the construction project, but modifications to the technical systems and the overall kitchen concept for the expanded facility will be necessary. Construction will take place while the daycare is operational, and sustainable and economical building practices will be prioritized to contribute to climate protection. Compliance with current guidelines for barrier-free construction is required. The goal is to create modern, adaptable spaces that support various educational concepts. The estimated costs for the construction measures are approximately €1,540,000 gross. The anticipated timeline is as follows: - Q2 2025: Planning services Stage 1 (Phases 1-3) - Q4 2025: Planning services Stage 2 (Phases 4-7) - Q4 2026: Start of construction (Stage 3 / Phase 8) - End of 2027: Completion.
