Brief
The city of Gronau is planning the construction of a new Historical Town Hall located at Bahnhofstraße, 48599 Gronau (Westf.). The protected Town Hall tower and its staircase will be preserved and redesigned on the ground floor, first floor, and basement. The destroyed historical Town Hall will be rebuilt at its original location, directly adjacent to the existing Town Hall tower. The building complex will also include a new section that is accessible at ground level. The new buildings will be constructed next to the existing Town Hall tower between Dinkel and Bahnhofstraße. The structures are designated as Building A, B, C, D, and special components for better identification. Purpose: - Public building (technical town hall including the registry office, public order office, and auditing office) as well as a public museum area and citizens' hall on the ground floor. Area specifications according to DIN 277: Total area 5,080 m² (basement, ground floor, first floor, second floor, attic) Usable area: 2,550 m² (excluding traffic and technical areas) Technical area: 450 m² (excluding traffic areas) Traffic area: 820 m² (all figures are approximate) Construction: - Reinforced concrete skeleton construction (reinforced concrete ceilings and columns) with stiffening reinforced concrete walls (ground floor, first floor, second floor) - Reinforced concrete exterior walls (white tub) in the basement - Roof as a rafter construction with supports External design: - Walls: Facing brickwork (including insulation) - Roofs: Roof tiles or stones (in the area of pitched roofs), bituminous flat roof possibly with greening (in the area of flat roofs) - Windows / doors: Post-and-beam facades with thermal insulation glazing, individual windows and doors with thermal insulation glazing.
