Childcare Services for Steinerwaldschule in Biblis-Nordheim and Wattenheim

This contract opportunity is for the provision of childcare services at Steinerwaldschule in Biblis-Nordheim and Wattenheim, starting on August 1, 2026. The service will cater to approximately 60 children and will include the organization and financial management of a comprehensive support and care program in accordance with the local regulations. Key responsibilities include developing a pedagogical concept for the care services in collaboration with the school, ensuring a healthy and age-appropriate lunch service, and managing a library for at least 3 hours daily. Childcare will be provided five days a week during school hours, with one group from 7:30 AM to 3:00 PM and two groups from 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM. Holiday care will also be available from 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM, based on agreement with the school leadership and demand. The service provider must ensure the presence of at least one qualified professional during the entire support and care program, with a minimum of two staff members per care group, including at least one educational professional. Group sizes will range from 12 to 25 children, with adjustments possible upon agreement with the contracting authority. Any parental contributions must be coordinated with the school, and financial support from state and district funds will be available. Unused funds or surpluses must be returned. It is preferred that the current childcare staff be retained. Evaluation criteria include the parental contribution and the pedagogical concept, as detailed in the tender documents.
