Brief

The Kempten University is planning the construction of the sixth phase of its development project. This phase includes new buildings primarily for engineering and social sciences, as well as central facilities. The project has been approved for a usable area of 8,106 m² and total costs of €151.1 million, as per the RLBau 2020 guidelines. The winners of the planning competition, the joint venture 'Atelier30 Architekten GmbH' and 'schöne aussichten landschaftsarchitektur', are responsible for the planning documentation. The project will consist of four separate buildings on the newly acquired land between Immenstädterstraße and Bahnhofstraße. The technical planning for electrical installations will cover groups 4, 5, and 6, with group 4 also including services from cost groups 200 and 500 (external lighting). The client intends to commission services according to the Technical Equipment service profile as per §§ 53 – 56 HOAI for service phases 1 – 9, with a stepwise commissioning approach. Basic services will be compensated according to Annex 15.2 to § 56 Abs. 3 HOAI in fee zones II or III. Planning will commence immediately after the contract is awarded. The BIM (Building Information Modeling) method will be utilized in this construction project and will be compensated as a special service.
