Purchase of Newborn Screening Test Kits for Severe Combined Immunodeficiency and Spinal Muscular Atrophy

The contract involves the procurement of screening test kits for newborns to detect spinal muscular atrophy and congenital immunodeficiencies, including Severe Combined Immunodeficiency (SCID) and hypogammaglobulinemia. A total of 144,000 tests are required, utilizing microplates with 96 wells each. The kits must employ quantitative real-time PCR technology to simultaneously assess the presence of a homozygous deletion in exon 7 of the SMN1 gene and quantitatively measure TREC and KREC molecules. Each kit must include appropriate controls and a sample set for generating a curve for quantitative measurement of TREC and KREC molecules, as well as reagents and plates necessary for DNA isolation. The contractor is required to deliver kits packaged in multiples of 96 tests. The buyer reserves the right to reduce the order by up to 20% if the budget is exceeded or if there are justified circumstances, such as a decrease in expected births and tests. The contract may be canceled if the necessary funding is not allocated. All deliveries must comply with the requirements outlined in the procurement documentation.
